The animals were much harder to find, we had our heads sticking out of the open safari car actually tracking creatures for hours. When we’d finally find them, the reward was astounding – an incredibly intimate adventure watching animals doing real animal stuff, like getting ourselves just feet from a pair of lions actively hunting a journey of giraffes. As for the camping, the guide told us, “We did not drive through any gates to get to our site, which means there are no gates to close. If you need to go to the bathroom at night, wake up your tent buddy to keep guard”. So legit.
